In this article we want to show you another fundamental technique for divers to improve their skills: A diver must be able to move through the water using his fins as the main source of propulsion, to increase efficiency and minimize impact on the environment.
The trim is the ideal horizontal position for a diver underwater, so we would like to share a couple of tips to achieve that perfect trim which will help you make the most of your dive and be a better diver as well.
I remember the first time I dove here, it was for a lionfish hunt with my buddy Mark, and we thought the place was quite pretty, but looking quite dead to be honest. Well, that was September 2019, and I’ve been here 3 times since then, and I must say that I’m liking it more and more each time.
From day one you get instantly mesmerized by the turquoise color of the water and the green color of the trees in the hills, but for me it was the kindness of Kayak people that sounded familiar, due to my dear Patagonian origins I guess, the same sense of security and peace.
Affectionately referred to as ‘Le Jettoi’ by our team (thanks, Gary!), the Hillsborough Jetty is a magical place for divers. Easily accessed by a short swim from the beach outside the dive shop and filled with oodles of fish and wonderful creatures, Le Jettoi is a favourite for all of us.
